The magic in Together Tokens is in the moments that they create. It is an easy way for a younger child to say that they would like to share valuable play time. It is also a great way to diversify play in areas that may not be top of mind.
Start with small moments, 10 minutes per token activity. Build up to 30 minutes per token activity. Your child will most likely fly through their 12 preferred activity tokens. The remaining profiles will have 4 tokens each. They will have to choose what’s next. Trying something new is a difficult skill. However, with each 10 tokens played, the special token will provide incentive to keep going.
Special token moments should be high value, yet simple. A movie night, special ice cream, extra video game time … these are about what motivates your child. When the bag is complete and all tokens have been cashed (this will take longer than you may think), then reset the game. You will notice over time, the tokens will fade in the background, and the game is no longer necessary to spark playtime.
Everyone needs a little help. Siblings in particular may need a motivator. We’ve designed this game with younger kids in mind. Screen time has its place, however there is something elegant about simple moments.

This unique clock is based on a cypher wheel design. The independent arrows allow you to “mark” two points of time. The Target Time arrow marks the end time for bedtime, screen time or free time. If your child’s bedtime is 8pm, then the Target Time arrow is set at 12. If screen time is typically from 4pm to 4:45pm, the the Target Time arrow is set at the 9.
The Tracker arrow (center ring) is then set to match the Target Time. Desired behavior is rewarded with “MORE” time. Less desired behavior receives “LESS” time. An extra 5 minutes to play screens or stay up later can be a high value motivator. Losing time can also be a strong, passive way to teach your child.
The beautiful magic in this design is that unlike a timeout, your child always has the opportunity to earn back their time. If they lose 10 minutes … they have the opportunity to change course, and get it back.
Available in six different hand combinations. Personalize it with your child’s name to make it their time.

Finding Moments is built on a decade-long friendship between Chad, Trisha and LenEll. Our conversations over the years centered on teaching our kids how to value relationships with others. Over time we have shared our parenting wins, struggles, and bounced ideas off one another for ways to stay creative. LenEll, a mother of a teenage daughter is also a professional with a Masters in Applied Psychology, whose practice focuses on children and families. Chad and Trisha are still navigating their parenting journey with two boys. In our constant search for parenting tools and supports that work, we created our own.
Rooted in psychology, our products are designed to encourage self-awareness, time management, and communication. It started with a concept of “The Gift of Play”, Together Tokens. A reward-based system of sharing one’s time in a simple and productive way. Your Time Clock is a modern take on rewarding good behavior for more time and substituting the traditional timeout for less time. My Moments Door Hangers were inspired by our children as a way to communicate their need for space, especially now with online learning. We’ve found the results have been positive in our ability to communicate with our children. What surprised us was the increased personal accountability that these tools have sparked.
In addition to our unique tools, Finding Moments is also a hub for curated parenting information. Finding Moments Tips, Thoughts and Resources are a center for helpful ideas and great techniques. Our podcast offers a unique perspective from two moms, a dad, and rooted in LenEll’s practical day to day professional experience. We hope to help you with your journey by sharing ours!
